![]() I am certain that if there were any way for them to accomplish this without essentially ripping you off by overcharging you for something that you wouldn't get your full money's value out of, then they would. I know that you can manage all of your different licenses, devices and license keys through the new web interface (the My Account portal I mentioned previously), so even if you did end up purchasing a separate license for your phone with a new key, you'd still be able to manage, monitor, deactivate and transfer all of your licenses in a single place, through a single interface and be able to keep track of how long you have remaining on each one before it expires/comes up for renewal. I really believe it's just a matter of it not being possible, at least not without you being overcharged for a short term license for your second device. Because of this, if they were to provide you with what you are asking, it would mean you'd be paying full price for a subscription for your phone that would expire at the same time that your current subscription for your PC is going to expire, which would be sooner than the length of time you should be entitled to had you purchased a separate key. To use 2 different subscription durations for 2 seats for a single key would be pretty difficult, if not impossible to accomplish (in fact, I doubt any vendor could manage it) because the remaining time for each subscription is tied to the license key, not the individual seat/device (this is also why you are able to transfer an existing license key/subscription from one device to another, if for example you bought a new computer and moved your existing 2 year license over to the new PC from your existing one). But with that said, I'm sure it's due to the potential issue I mentioned in my previous post. I do wish there were something more they could offer that would be acceptable to you and would better suit your needs. ![]() I understand that you are frustrated by this, and for that I do apologize. If there's anything else we might assist you with please don't hesitate the let us know. At least I assume it can be done based on the info on that page. So all you should need to do is contact Support and they should be able to help you out in getting things set up. I was checking the latest info here and it does appear as though they are now bundling licensing for different devices. Hopefully this is something they will offer in the future so that you'll be able to merge your subscriptions someday (Malwarebytes has always been a really good company when it comes to treating early adopters fairly in grandfathering them into new products/solutions/licensing etc.), but until then you will have to purchase it separately.Īctually, scrap what I just said. I hope that at least helps you so that you don't have to keep digging for answers, though I do wish I had better news for you. That's not to say that they won't necessarily offer such options/solutions in the future, as I have no doubt they likely will (especially given the similar trend among other security vendors these days), but as of right now it's all quite separate. Unfortunately you are quite correct that there currently is no way to add a seat for a different OS version of Malwarebytes to an existing license so a separate purchase is required if you wish to get protection for your mobile device.
